Deirdre and Scott - Longueville House, Cork

Deirdre and Scott who are based in London entrusted us with their wedding day at Longueville House in Co Cork. This destination wedding involved three days of celebrations starting with a traditional Irish seisiun in the quaint village of Adare.

The day of the wedding commenced with a beautiful intimate ceremony in Crecora, Co Limerick. After which guests arrived to a very warm welcome at Longueville House. Cider made in house was served warmed to beat the winter vibes and a jazz band added to the warm atmosphere.

Guests enjoyed the best of Irish food in the enchanting glass conservatory which dates back to 1865. So special is the food at Longueville that all food was sourced locally and all vegetables and herbs were picked that morning in Longueville’s walled gardens. We designed a candlelit dining experience. The conservatory was lined with ferns in a nod to Scott’s New Zealand heritage.

After dinner guests moved downstairs to the old kitchen which was transformed into a dance space and cosy drinks area. The garden maze area was used for whiskey and cigars while guests wrapped themselves in Irish woollen throws.

The day after included a beautiful lunch at Longueville which preceded by a guided tour, and all important tasting of the cider distillery at Longueville.
